The main role of the bearing body is to support the shaft and bearing, to ensure the axis of rotation, to withstand the force, the working body, and power connected.
Bearings bear the meridional and axial force to achieve effective rotation. The installation gap for different bearing components of the slurry pump is not the same.
The shaft is the centerline of the pump's rotation. Both ends are used to connect the impeller and coupling, connect the active parts, and transfer power to the working components.
The bearing cover is used to secure and position the exact position of the shaft, adjust the bearing clearance, and bear the axial force of the pump.
Maze sets, oil cups, and labyrinth rings are used to seal both ends of the bearing. They prevent the leakage of bearing grease and stop external debris and sewage from entering the bearing. The oil cup injects the grease into the maze ring, serving as a seal and lubrication.
The main role of the butter retaining ring is to ensure normal lubrication of the bearing, block certain grease, and ensure excess waste oil is excluded through the butter ring and the gap between the bearing.
The adjust pad is used to adjust the bearing clearance of the components. They come in four specifications: 0.5mm, 0.3mm, 0.2mm, and 0.14mm, according to different component standards.
Inch nuts are mainly driven to secure the maze sets and bearings.
Slurry pump bearing components use lithium grease for lubrication.
Bearing assembly installation is very important. Improper installation can easily cause malfunctions such as the slurry pump not running, running unstably, broken shafts, vibrations, etc.
Problems and precautions when the bearing components work:
In the course of use, bearing components are prone to the following two problems: bearing temperature is too high, and bearing components wear out quickly.
Reasons for high temperature:
1. Improper adjustment of bearing trainee, not meeting assembly standards
2. Excess, too little, or impure grease
3. Improper selection of slurry pump, power too large
Reason for damage too fast:
1. Poor quality of the bearing itself
2. Assembly does not meet standards, dirt in the grease
To ensure bearing components meet work requirements and operate normally, attention must be paid to the following:
A. Increase the degree of attention to the slurry pump. It plays an irreplaceable role in production. Follow work performance, technical standards, and use standard operations strictly.
B. Ensure external cleanliness; improper adjustment of shaft seal reduces heat performance. Improper belt adjustment leads to bearing heating and premature damage.
C. Regular refueling on time, clearing bearing body oil. Poor lubrication and debris lead to reduced life.
D. Reduce the vibration of the slurry pump work, ensure no parts are loose to avoid reducing service life.
The operating procedure should be adhered to strictly; the assembly should follow technical standards to ensure initial quality.
Slurry pump bearing components are the heart of the whole pump. Though their value is relatively small compared to the pump, improper installation can adversely affect the pump.
A. Improve operator responsibility and provide appropriate technical training.
B. Establish a corresponding operating process.
C. Ensure smooth cooperation between operators and repair workers for the use and maintenance of slurry pumps.
D. For new pumps or new bearing components, monitor the bearing temperature to ensure a normal temperature operation. High-temperature operation should be avoided to prevent bearing damage.

Slurry pump bearing assembly connects the slurry pump and motor parts to form a complete working system. Its stability directly affects the operation and service life of the pump. Before assembling, pre-heat the inner race of the bearing to a temperature below 120°C. The inner race must be fixed next to the shaft shoulder or grease retainer. For double row taper roller bearings, the inner ring, outer ring, and lantern ring come as a set; do not interchange the components.
