Touchscreen for Laptop (not just DIY) - Framework Community

I come from using an X1 Yoga (ThinkPad), and I use my touchscreen daily. It feels much more natural for scrolling through longer articles. Sometimes I flip my Yoga into tablet mode for scrolling, but most of the time, I touch-scroll even in the normal laptop configuration.

I also use it for certain forms, especially for checking off large checkbox lists.

I don’t use it to navigate, make, or refresh webpages with gestures because the default Gnome (Linux) gestures require too much hand movement right now.

I use it to quickly select a text field or sometimes a tab on my web browser.

It took a while to incorporate the touchscreen into my workflow, but I wouldn’t give it up now. It makes me more efficient in some tasks, and when I need it, it enhances my computing experience. Also, pinching to zoom in on photos is really nice.

I use it when my partner needs help with their computer, as using their trackpad can be awkward; I just touch their screen.

My children also use the built-in stylus on my X1 Yoga to free draw on https://canvas.apps.chrome/.

A touchscreen is essential for me. It would be a significant regression in my workflow to move to a Framework without one. I would be less efficient and a bit aggravated without it. In this modern world, having touch parity with our mobile devices makes sense.
